Ed-Skoog-© Kelly-O1d Skoog was born in Topeka, Kansas in 1971 and went to Kansas State University for a BA in English and the University of Montana for an MFA in Poetry. He has taught creative writing at George Washington University, Tulane, the University of Montana, and two high school arts conservatories, the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and Idyllwild Arts Academy, in southern California, where he continues to coordinate a summer poetry festival, Poetry Week at Idyllwild.  His poems have appeared in The Paris Review, American Poetry Review, The New Republic, Poetry, Tin House, and many other magazines, and is the author of two collections of poetry, Mister Skylight and Rough Day, both published by Copper Canyon Press. He has received fellowships from the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, Sewanee Writers Conference, Richard Hugo House and the Lannan Foundation. He co-hosts, with novelist J. Robert Lennon, the podcast Lunch Box, With Ed and John.
